Audrey Tautou
Audrey Tautou was born in Beaumont in the French city of Puy-de Domme on the 9th of August, 1976. She was the youngest among four kids. The actress was inspired by her parents, a dentist and a teacher who were both teachers to pursue her passion for acting. This was in contrast her earlier ambition to pursue a career as a primateologist since she was a fan of monkeys. The early success of her career and the rapid rise in fame was a sign of her development as an actor. When she first began her acting career, Tautou participated in Jeunes Premiers which was a French show on TV that focuses on talent which was a part of Canal+ in 1998. Also, she was awarded the the title of Best Young Actress at her performance in the Beziers Festival of Young Actors. Although she studied at The Institut Catholique de Paris and went to church as a child, Tautou has stayed away from this upbringing, stating that she's not Catholic. Her acting and modelling careers were intertwined. Tautou was the model for L'Oreal Mont Blanc Chanel, and is known as the Chanel Muse. Also, she has an intense photographic passion and has recently presented an exhibit of her work at the Arles Festival with the name Superficial. Her photography is focused on famous people, the media and media that scrutinised her after her fame-making debut as Amelie. There are also several photographs that show her self. Audrey Tautou's worldwide success and fame soared after her role as Amelie Poulain's lead lady in Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amelie Poulain. Amelie was recognized internationally for its box office success. The film was also recognized during awards ceremonies around the globe. Amelie is the top grossing French film of the French language across the US. Following this massive success, Tautou went on to star in numerous films, including British dramatics, such as Stephen Knight's Dirty Pretty Things and Jean-Pierre Jeunet's Un long Sunday de fiancailles. Tautou also appeared alongside Tom Hanks in Ron Howard's The Da Vinci Code directed by Dan Brown.
